365--week 17
it's official...i'm in a funk.
i'm a bad blogger. i'm sorry.
i don't want to be a negative nelly so i'm just gonna get right to the pics.
day 113i love you, target and costco!
day 114i realized late at night that i hadn't taken any pictures this day so i took a picture of part of my nightly routine...computer time. i was born with old lady hands--ughh, next picture please!
day 115 meet jeremy's mom and her husband russ, better known as mimi and papa russ. they came for a little visit over the weekend. the boys loved it because they got to go swimming at their hotel, how fun!
day 116after the bath, getting caught up with the tv instead of getting jammies on.
day 117lunch at panera with my little buddy:)
day 118having two older brothers has usually meant that porter has been a little ahead of his age in terms of the toys and cartoons he likes. unfortunately that hasn't been the case with riding a bike. it dawned on me the other day that easton and cooper were already riding a bike without training wheels when they were porter's age and i felt terrible because i haven't really given him a chance to learn. i usually put him in the jogging stroller when we go on walks and the other two ride their bikes so i can get some exercise because let's face it...you can't go that fast with a kid using training wheels. so lately when the older two are at school i've been taking porter out to ride his bike. he likes it but is still pretty nervous about falling. in the above picture we were going down hill and he was scared and wanted to get off but i assured him i would hold on and not let him fall (while taking a picture-ha). he said nervously, "don't let go mom" and i promised again that i wouldn't. later as i was looking at this picture and recalling what he said, i thought to myself, "don't you worry, i don't ever want to let you go and without a doubt i won't, i will never let you fall and if you do i will pick you up and until the day comes when you want and need me to let you go i will be here holding on to you for dear life".
day 119 first of all, a huge thank you to my wonderful friend (you know who you are) for showing me how to do a photo collage in elements. i'm sure some of you are laughing like she was at how easy this is but remember...i read books for dummies! LOL! anyway, i was so excited to have learned this that it made my week! thank you, thank you!
i realize this is technically two pictures for the day but they just had to go together. i think i have talked a bit about how this kid is absolutely crazy when it comes to clothes and is so picky about what he wears. he gets favorite things (like the swimsuits) and only wants to wear them, etc.. sometimes i have to lock his door so he can't change his clothes, which happened a few times this week. for some reason this week he's been stuck on being a rock star. the above pictures were probably his third change of clothes for the day. he came down and said , "do i look cool mom?" and then asked me to take his picture and right when i did he put up the "rock on" sign! cracks me up! he also revisited all 3 high school musical movies this week. it had been a long time since he'd seen them and now he wants to be "troy" again. yep, he went through a stage when he would tell everyone his name was "troy"! LOVE THAT BOY!
i will keep this brief because it's very late and my eyes are burning. it really has been a good week even though i said i was in a funk. i've got a lot accomplished in the yard---a huge thank you to my mom who came and helped me. i couldn't have done it without her. we are having a party tomorrow evening for our sunday school class---83 people are coming! craziness! it's outside mainly, thank the Lord!
alright friends,my brain can't think straight anymore. as always thanks for stopping by and i wish you many blessings for the week ahead!
take care
xo xo

-i think i mentioned this awhile back, but do you realize you're nearing your 1 year anniversary of blogging? Girl that's a huge accomplishment to stick with it that long....and looking back over all the memories you've captured and photos taken, I'm sure you'd have to say that even on the weeks when you're not feeling that into it, its been worth it...and look at all the masses or readers who so have enjoyed sharing in your journey:)
i need to see all the new landscaping......i know its been a lot of work but im sure it looks amazing! :) loved what you wrote about porter learning to ride a bike and 'not letting go'.....way to tug at the mommy heart strings!
OHH, and that series of pics in his rocker gear was totally begging to be collaged:) let the fun creations begin! lol
enjoy the festivities tonight. might want to put a call ahead of time into the police dept to alert them you all will be getting rowdy.:)

Hello!!! I am late again... Oh my goodness what exactly am I doing on Friday's?!?! As usual, it was a pleasure. I know that when you look at these picture you don't see it like we do. What make the pictures so great is that we get to see the world thru your eyes. We all see the world differently, and I LOVE getting to see it the way you do. It inspires me! So keep on rockin it! Fave of the week... over ofcourse the boy in the towel, runner up... the back of the VAN!!!
Now, this is a real request. Can you please tell me EXACTLY what plants to buy for my pots!! I want them to look just like yours. and then.... can you please take a close up pic of your pots so I can copy them exactly!! Thanks Juli!!! Come visit SOON! by they way, I plan to plant my pots on mom's day.
