aren't they lovely?
my siberian iris's are in bloom and i absolutely love them. i put one in a vase the other night and found myself sitting there just staring at them and admiring every little detail so of course i got my camera.
even the underneath is amazing! i got these from a start of part of my mom's siberian iris's as i have of so many of my garden treasures. thanks mom.
this is my 'ken donson' clematis that i'm lovin' right now too:)
a very flattering thing happened last night. a lady came to my door, apparently she lives with her daughter's family a couple streets up, but she said they drive by my yard to look at it all the time. she commented on how pretty they thought it was and wondered if my husband did landscaping. (nope) anyway, she said her daughter really wants to do some planting but doesn't know where to start and wondered if i could come by and give her some advice and suggest some things for her to plant. like i said, i was very flattered and told her i have my mom and grandma's to thank for helping me along the way and that i'd walk by sometime and look at the area she was telling me about. so we'll see what happens with that.
i just wanted to share some of the things that are making me happy this week:)
xo
well now this was a pleasant surprise.....a post and its not even friday?!?? that's so cool about the lady dropping by....but i must protest; you cant start offering your services to random strangers before you've even come to my house!! lol its totally the inner artist in you that overflowing into your landscaping design--my talented friend!!
p.s. got a way cute thank you in the mail earlier this week--took me a bit to even remember what it could be for, but the envelope alone was so stinkin cute i didnt know if i should open it for fear of ruining it! lol
