school's out...it's summer time!

this song came on my ipod the other day while i was at the gym and it kind of got me pumped for summer. i came home and looked it up on youtube to check out the video...thought you might want to have a looksey too:) good times!

oh yeah, i'm a momma... my summer isn't gonna look quite like that! LOL! sure looks fun though. we'll be busy with baseball, basketball camp, art camp ,science camp, church camp, swim lessons, pool time, colorado, many zoo visits and a ton of other things right here at our home sweet home. guess i need to just plop my eagle cooler down right here cuz this is my piece of paradise or wherever my guys are...that's my paradise. (although honey, if you're reading this, if you wanna kidnap me to go party on a beach somewhere i'd be cool with that!)

this morning's surprise...

i thought it would be nice to surprise the boys with krispy kreme donuts this morning for their first day out of school. yes, i know, not so healthy but i NEVER do this! so it was a big treat and between the 4 of us we emptied the box--ouch!

so far today we have had 2 major time outs, a physical fight with the neighbor boy, much name calling and it is just now lunch time. if this morning is any indicator of what the summer is going to be like i don't know if i'll be able to say that the statement i made above about this being my paradise is true! i'll be trying to dive into that rascal flatt's video for sure!

so here's to summer! hope it's a good one for you and me both:)

**** oh my word! this is hilarious yet embarrassing! my husband just read this last night (6/12) and was like "eagle cooler? i think you mean Igloo cooler!" i was like "you're kidding?! i knew i had never heard of eagle coolers before--LOL!" so i chose to just add this little correction instead of fixing the text on the actual post because i know my family and some friends will get a big kick out of this since i am notorious for getting lyrics wrong! i can hear the laughing already:)****

Hey, thank you for making all of our mouths water for doughnuts!!! Man, doughnuts are definitely a weakness of mine as you know. Loved the Rascal Flatts song! I am with you sista...ready for summer!!! Can't wait for you to come out and visit in July too!

Juli...I am so glad I went back for some reason and saw the correction!!! I can't believe I must have skimmed right over that the first time or I would've given you a hard time! I will never forget you belting out to the Boys to Men song years ago, "Stomp on my fingers, the blame is on me!" instead of "Stop pointing fingers, the blame is on me!" Aww... that is hilarious!
